Just got home from the FINAL chemo of round one (the bad one). Laura came to "observe" the process and stayed the WHOLE 4 hours (thanks Laura!). Jerry went shopping and then brought us lunch! So it was the nicest chemo I've had so far. Had some issues with the Paxman system today so I'm not sure I got the full effect of that today. Hair falls out by the handful but Laura thinks I have a lot left but I see scalp! Now I just have to get through the after effects of this chemo, which is what's bad about the whole thing. I see the doc 3/6 so will get my white cell count then which will determine if I can go to the golf show the weekend after next. Haven't missed a golf show in years!
Nurse Tanya says the next round should be easier because I'll be getting a different chemo (Taxol), at a lower dose, weekly. So hopefully it won't mess with my blood so much and I'll be able to get out more.
Neulasta goes off at 4:30 tomorrow. Other than that, I need a nap! So later!
HOORAY! Phase One, check! :)
