2nd Chemo

OK, I'm home sitting on the couch eating peanut butter on celery...

Had a little scare when we went in, nurse Stacy said "We have to make sure your blood levels are good before we can start". I said what's good and she said has to be in the normal range. Well mine was below normal Friday so I was nervous.  If it's not good, have to put off chemo for a week! But it was really good so chemo was on.

It was the same as the first week but in the new room which is much nicer - larger, brighter, etc. So, anti-nausea medication, flush, anti-nausea medication, flush, chemo #1, flush, chemo#2, flush, put on on the neulasta patch then wait an hour and a half for the paxman system. Honestly, that's the hardest part of the whole deal. It does get cold, but they have heated blankets, I really can take it just fine. It's just the headache I get at the end...I can't wait to get that thing off. Headache goes away as soon as I get it off. Jerry was at the doctor's so I had to take it off myself and it went just fine.

Again, I am so thankful...I see what the other people in that room are going through and it breaks my heart. Old, young, black, white, male, female, cancer has no boundaries, no rules, no limitations. It sucks!

I can't believe that sitting in a chair for 4 1/2 hours can drain me so much. I am out of shape!
