Port removal went fine, went to hospital at 8, home by 12. Surgery took minutes, I had twilight anesthesia and a local where the port was. They did a little slit, took the port out, removed the sutures that held it in place, removed the catheter in the vein and stitched the vein up. Should be good to go by tomorrow.
A good news, bad news thing...my hair has started growing back (good)...it's growing in white (bad) and only the sides and back (very bad). I look like a monk who's seen a ghost!
Next step - Monday, getting measured and tattooed for radiation.
